Required Skills
- Business technical skills: Tank cleaning, Bunker procurement, Navigation, Tanker operations, ROB/CP Terms, Demurrage analysis and Claims management.
- IT skills: Voyage management like IMOS or SOFTMAR
- Language: English
- Soft skills: ability to work in multicultural environment. Ability to work at any time, as operational needs require.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major duties and tasks of the role for Third Party Cargos
- Daily direct liaising with Oilmar counterparties being fully updated with pre / current / post fixtures under Oilmar control.
- Post Fixing, ensure that all obligations arising from the contract and charter party are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are complied with
- Consistent monitoring of all operations correspondence from counterparties / Brokers / Owners to ensure quick and efficient communication flow and minimising / expediting information requests such as stowage plans / intake requests / eta / slow-down / speedup.
- Active involvement with operational issues and problems (such as off spec / disagreements with stowage plans / contamination etc) offering expertise advise mainly to counterparties on cargo side.
- Follow up of all verifications of freight invoices / additional alaims (waiting for orders, Turkish Straits, heating etc) and all demurrages claims presented – offering opinions, verifications and / or confirmation to owners claims.
- Daily reporting on all fixed-in vessels to be sent out every day to counterparties
- Weekly updates to counterparties on outstanding claims / demurrages.
- Weekly reporting to Head of Operations on vessels fixed / commissions issued / commissions collected.
Major duties and tasks of the role for Time Charter or Commercial Managed Vessels
- Ensure that all obligations arising from the contract and charter party are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are complied with
- Deal with oil and freight counterparties, terminals and vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities, ensure all necessary operational information is passed on in good time, and documentary requirements are met
- Make oil and vessel nominations, prepare voyage orders and monitor progress of vessels
- Dealing with independent inspectors, cargo quality, expediters and ships’ agents
- Liaise with finance, providing them with timely, accurate data and documentation to facilitate smooth invoicing and payment for cargoes
- Dealing with various cargo grades and blending operations for Fuel Oil
- Voyage management as required with claims negotiation and settlement.
- Ensuring correct procedures on Bill of Lading, Cert of Origins, Quality, Quantity etc and LOIs
- Operations dealing with voyage instructions, planning, fixtures, appointing and communicating with Agents, Brokers, Charterers.
- Interpretation and knowledge of different CPs.
- Ensuring correct procedures on Bill of Lading and LOIs
- Bunker consumptions and monitoring of Ships data/voyage and consumptions on a daily basis
- Pro-actively communicating expected and/or identified exceptions which arise during ballast, tank cleaning, loading, transit or discharge phases.
- Ensuring all details and supporting documents required for correct invoicing of freight, hire and claims are accurate and available in accordance with relevant charter party requirements on each voyage
- Voyage management as required with claims negotiation and settlement.
- Communicating HSE requirements to relevant parties
Required Experience: 5+ years on similar position
